Oh no how dare we let landowners use the land they bought and paid for the way they want! My god, what if they do something crazy like build tall buildings full of housing in an area that has a massive housing shortage?!
Exactly, it’s ridiculous that I can’t open an unregulated zip line attraction in my yard.
Yes, I should be able to build a 100 foot tall single stair building with no parking, that blocks sunlight for my neighbors homes. I should also be allowed to use all of these units as short-term rentals and have a ground floor 24 hour bar because of my “property rights”!!
It is my right to create a building that is unsafe where people might die in a fire and open a 24 hour bar that disrupts my neighbors sleep all night. If I am not allowed to do this you are a NIMBY and a terrible person.
Didn’t you hear? There is SO MUCH SUPPORT for this. SO MUCH. My sister cousin’s barber’s neighbor heard it from a guy on the bus. EVERYONE wants a fourplex with no parking and five dogs next door. It’s the new thing! It’s Opposite Day and having an apartment building next to you is the NEW THING! Let’s ride the bus to get groceries and then ride it back and walk home to celebrate with all 20 of our neighbors!
