Can you please use your neurons, posters? If he does that, Tesla sales will drop like a rock, even more than they're done recently. No one will buy a car that the billionaire owner can just decide to disable at will. Obviously he's not going to hurt his bottom line more than he has to. He's very impulsive and flits from shiny bauble to shiny bauble: once he's bored with destroying the federal government, he will move on to something else, and feds/Democrats will be the least of his concerns.
I don't think he really cares about Tesla any longer. Apparently, his other, not yet public companies (SpaceX, xAI, etc.), are up almost 50% in the private markets since the election. None of them are retail dependent and that's where he will focus. He will spin off or move companies out of Tesla.. For example, self-driving could be spun off as a private company, whose products would be sold to Tesla vs. keeping it in Tesla. Whose going to investigate? The non-existent/de-fanged SEC? Once that stripping is complete, he'll just hand over reins to one of his minions and move on.
He used his Tesla shares to secure loans for spaceX and election donations. If Tesla stock tanks, his collateral disappears and the loans can be called back.
