I've written to Sandy Anderson multiple times and gotten back form letters than address nothing that I specifically ask her stance on.

Our in person meeting at LBSS was LIVID when people found out only seniors are grandfathered to any changes. I've said before, we are on the line for a potential boundary shift from WSHS to Lewis or SoCo. I will be incredibly angry and do anything I can to keep my 2028 grad at WSHS for his junior and senior year. He is a freshman now, already signed up for AP sophomore courses not offered at Lewis. He's an athlete that is putting his time in on his JV team to build to varsity. He is in several clubs now and looking at leadership positions down the road. Pulling the rug out from under juniors is unbelievable. 
Now, my 2031 grad, we will try Lewis if we are moved with an open mind. If they keep IB, he's a great candidate for it. And maybe he'll do better at a less competitive school than WSHS. We can make it work, regardless. But, no moving juniors. That's insane. [/quote]

I am 100% with you!  I have a class of '28 DC who lettered in a sport this winter.  We were looking at letterman jackets recently and thought about how the SB might force a move. It's heartbreaking to think that adults would do this to teenagers at such a critical point in their education.  The lack of empathy is staggering.

She has grown kids who went to Marshall HS and one went into UVA and the other to Duke. She revealed this personal info about her kids at a public event after one of her comments (I’m paraphrasing) about “all your kids will be fine no matter what school they end up at, all the FCPS schools are great.” [/quote]
