Achilles because of location and the coach's affiliation to a prominent private school plus being in MLS Next will always draw some good individual players Otherwise, the coaching is horrible and the teams are whipping posts for everyone
Achilles FC U16 & U19 placed in Top 25 at most recent MLSFest. How did your club place? Still waiting.
Odd flex.
Odd flex? Pay attention. Look a few posts back where our resident clown says every team that plays Achilles FC gets +3.
I've got nothing against Achilles but their u16s are 2-7-4 and U19s 0-10-3. It was wild that you were bragging "B-B-BUT THEY'RE TOP25"... in a showcase.
It's wild that you leave out the league games and/or don't know how to read the standings. Tells me you have no connection with MLS Next.
u16s 4-8-4 and U19s 2-10-4. You're right, MUCH better now.
So . . . . 8 and 6 teams, respectively, didn't get an automatic 3 points in a game against Achilles, which was the statement. That's a pretty horrible misstatement of facts. The beginning point of this thread, and what it should have remained, was to celebrate the accomplishments of an extremely hard working and great kid. Congrats, Mati. And it's disheartening, but not unexpected, that a couple people who have animus toward Sal would immediately jump on here to criticize Achilles. As much as it may hurt you to admit, they did a great job with Mati and have a quantifiably good record of developing players (as noted above). The success of their players is not an accident. But they don't win . . . . But they yell . . . . But, whatever . . . Doesn't change the facts. And your bad experience doesn't change the fact that high level kids, and their parents, choose to train and play with them. So, also congrats to Achilles.
