It’s a great school in a warm climate with a fun environment, and great sports being so close to Duke. The research triangle is booming and NC state is in Raleigh. Makes it a fun place to go to college and live after. Many people love Chapel Hill and Carolina blue. It doesn’t have a stuffy or elite vibe. That being said, mine wanted to go to Northeast![/quote]

Why not focus on NC State? All of the things you mentioned are also true for NC State and an oos kid can actually get in. [/quote]

The thread title asking about UNC, but yes, it’s a great school also and a better choice for engineering and computer science. It’s also becoming a harder admit though as more are shut out at UNC. I personally think NC State is super underrated, the opportunities and connections are incredible and some of those companies are literally on campus.[/quote]
