But reductions through attrition are by definition not me losing my job. The streamlining thing is not concrete yet, so nothing new today that we didn't know yesterday. Attrition / hiring freeze means the remaining people have more to do with fewer resources. This is an old tale and career civil service is very familiar with it. It sucks for the mission, because certain things get dropped and expectations fall, but it doesn't usually lead to people quitting. [/quote]
