Before winter break an email was sent out that two teachers got into a fight. Apparently one of the teachers pushed a disabled teacher on the floor and cussed at him. Many students saw it (including my son) and were disturbed by it. I don't want to name names, but the teacher/coach that pushed the disabled teacher to the floor is still working. My son thought for sure he would be disciplined, not back the next day of school.
This is hilarious. Kids don't even get disciplined anymore. You think the teachers will?
They probably had a productive Restorative Justice circle and that's why the teacher was allowed back! Maybe the admin also gave him a snack and had him do a think sheet.
Oh, we’re not even supposed to do a think sheet anymore. That could cause the child to dislike writing. Directive at my school. 🤦🏻♀️
How about laps at recess, then? If an FCPS elementary principal gets convicted of shoplifting in Target, she gets awarded with a promotion to an AP (in charge of the special education dept) at a high school! Think about that! I’d fully expect to be fired (or I’d resign) from my local government job for such a charge.
