[/quote] It is performative at our large public high school. Coach even has told kids before tryouts that they would have a hard time making the team. Those that made the team are those who play together off season, go to Green Days etc. are the ones who make the team. That doesn’t make it unfair to me. If two players show up, both the same or one slightly better than the other at tryouts but the coach has seen the other play and be consistent, they’re going to pick that person. That is life.
