It was mentioned on another thread that Trump is an atheist, but nobody picked up on it. Maybe neither religious people nor atheists want to think that. What do you think?
I would assume he is as he has cynically exploited religion for his own political purposes and seems completely fearless about the bad kharma he has generated along the way.
Well, by that description, he sounds like a Christian
Does not sound like anyone in my church. Also all the Christians I know would be worried about consequences of their actions, especially ones that have hurt so many people. He does not attend church, does not know scriptures, has been married several times, boasted about sexually assaulting women in a video, cheated many small businesses out of payment, made incestuous remarks about his beautiful daughter, evaded paying taxes over decades, praised murderous dictators while disrespecting leaders of allied democratic nations. He really does not sound like any Christians I know.
Now explain the millions of Christians who enthusiastically support him.
DP. Go look up a survey as to how many of those enthusiastic supporters regularly attend church. At least last time I looked, regular church attendance made one less likely to support him.
Link please. You are 1000% wrong
I can't find 2024 data and I may well be wrong. There was definitely data that showed "evangelicals" who basically never went to church were Trump's strongest "evangelical" supporters while those who attended weekly or more were his weakest evangelical supporters. I go to the kind of church that wouldn't dream of telling me who to vote for, and the thought of those "churches" that are basically giant political rallies for anyone makes me sick. Like the other PP I'm not sure those get to count.
