What is "a lot"?  How do you know which visa applicant is a future patent creator vs one who's lackluster?  Do you think Trump's admin would be equipped to figure this out?[/quote]
PP you quoted. I do not administer the visa process, but I have managed Federal contracts and interviewed hundreds of applicants for technical positions. Not one Satya Nadella among those needing work visas. If I was forced to hire, it more likely than not led to poor performance and firing.
Workers who came to the States 15+ years ago, when the visa fraud machine was not as sophisticated and the process was competitive, ranged from competent to amazing. But these people are now either US citizens and command competitive salaries, or went back to their home countries to run successful businesses.[/quote]
