It's the kind of stuff I'd expect from the '90s, not modern times when I'd think there'd be a little more sensitivity to the fact that dominant groups (white, Western, Christian, etc) are not in fact the center of the universe and the only ones whose perspective really matters. It kind of sucks that thie is the content my kids will be getting years of, honestly, but that's probably something for a different post...[/quote] The Amplify curriculum isn’t the MCPS Social Studies curriculum though. So maybe that’s a feedback to give your teacher/school about the curriculum is that it would be better to integrate the MCPS social studies curriculum and Amplify history portions.[/quote]
