It can be a bonus at schools known for swimming -- Stoneridge, Holton, Gonzaga, Prep.
Prep definitely gives money for swimming. During their dominant run in the 2010s their team was built around Asian kids and Jewish kids. People their for the swimming scholarships not the “Jesuit education”
You know we are talking swimming and not chess right? I know how awful this will sound, but I've never heard of a sports team built around Asian and Jewish kids.
Ha ha. It is sort of a funny notion. Yes I know there are good athletes in all walks of life. In this case, I don't know if it were true but I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze in such a case. Its just not that important and if I were a Prep parent or alum, I'd be less than pleased that resources were spent on such a folly. Literally nobody remembers who won a HS swimming race 15 years ago.
