This is the crux of so many problems in school now.  Parents and so many others blame the teachers.

The kids have no consequences at home and are not being taught to be respectful or held accountable for their behavior. They know the teachers hands are tied. If a teacher called our parents we knew we would get in trouble. These kids know their parents will side with them and not the teacher.   It’s no wonder so many are leaving the profession. [/quote]

Then inform these students and parents that said child has reached the threshold and so class related consequences will be imposed.  For every time in a class I have to tell you child to shut the F up I will be deducting 5% from any and all assignments for the day.  [/quote]
