My mom was a lifelong vegetarian who ate mostly home cooked, though not necessarily organic meals. She died of stomach cancer. There are things you can do to try and improve your odds, but it’s really a crapshoot.
My grandmother drank a handle of Jim Beam every week, two packs of Pall Malls a day and looooove greseay rare ribeye. I never saw her eat salad once my entire life. She lived to 94. My dad, her son went the other way, non snoker, moderate drinker and eventually sober, marathon runner, ate apples every day, huge salads and lean meats. He died at 70. It's 95% your individual genetics.
Yep. One of my grandmothers lived entirely on booze, prescription drugs, and the occasional hard boiled egg. She lived to 99. My other grandmother never smoked or drank and only ate fresh food from her own farm. She’s 100 and going strong. All the men die young of heart attacks.
