I thought this forum has supportive ppl no matter the content is . Some bullies are out here too . I now get where the bully kids come from . No one here is ready to answer the question of 160 CoGAT scores of all those kids . Those parents did prep for years . Only to prep for this year is too much ?
I can safely tell you that my advice to parents not to prep for the NNAT or the CoGAT or the IAAT or the SOL. I also suggest enrichment for kids who ask to do more math and not for every kid out there. Follow your kids abilities and interests. There is no rush to get into Algebra 1 H. Most kids will take it in 7th or 8th grade which sets them up for Calc in 11th or 12th grade. TJ requires Algebra 1 H by 8th grade. There is no rush. We are on the second day of school and you are asking about passing a SOL in May.
