I can't stand that 'old guard' mentality of not wanting the neighborhood to change. At one point, they were new to the hood, too. Sure, there are nutty looking mcmansions out there, but there are also good people wanting to live in nice areas, who buy in and renovate to what they want. Our old crazy childless, partnerless neighbor couldn't understand anyone wanting to buy larger than a 2br 1 ba bungalow. Even with our 4 kids (??) The attempts at guilting or questioning us to try to change our values were relentless. We literally stopped talking to her; she had too many issues.

I wouldn't care about a neighborcam either.  Actually we found out one neighbour on one side had one and all it did was make me make sure I wasn't cleaning the house naked.[/quote]
