Majority of companies recruiting on college campuses require a 3.0+ or they won't look at your resume. Some have 3.5+. I'd be concerned if my kid could not get near a 3.0. So is the issue it's too hard or they are not putting in the effort? Either way, I'd give them a semester to do better, otherwise they might be coming home for CC and to focus on their effort.
