If a swimmer has a better chance of making all stars in one event over another, the coach should point that out to help inform the decision, but it’s not their call. I’ve seen instances where a coach chooses events in this situation to create openings for others swimmers and/or pressures a swimmer to make certain choices for this reason. I don’t think that’s appropriate, so I do think thr swimmer makes the final call. [/quote]
