He said the 47% who don't pay federal income taxes don't take responsibility for themselves and he can't make them do that.  Which of course, is stupid, because he is demeaning a lot of people who are actually planning to vote for him.

That's what I find so odd about Romney.  It would be one thing if he really were talking about people who are dependent on government handouts and have never worked a day in their lives (that would be a *much* lower percentage than 47%) but he pulls this percentage out of the air and doesn't accurately characterize who these people are.  That seems really dumb for someone with a Harvard degree.[/quote]
