It's as simple as this. A 4.0 GPA is very good for WAsh U Law. Below indicates a 3.12 is the rate of those enrolls. so the school - which has rolling admissions - always a bad sign of a school on the rise - is willing to lock into OP's kid NOW in order to get that GPA. But OP's kid is forgoing the opportunity to apply to the higher hanged law schools. Since everything today is about T14 or above to get a job, this is a very bad offer. What are the odds of getting into WashULaw? What is the Washington University Law School Acceptance Rate? Applications Offers Class of 2023 4,613 1275 (27,64%) 25% Median GPA 3.18 3.67 LSAT 161 167
OP here. Thanks good stuff. Practice lsats are not top 10 and may be enough for t14 with the GPA. So we have to keep options open. Hoping with a 4.0 (I know school does not matter but have to beleive coming from an ivy means something) and say a 165-166 there is a shot for bottom of T14. She feels it went well.
Good luck. DD is a 3.7 (not a 4.0) because he started as an aerospace engineering student at UVA; he switched at the end of his first year and entered a humanities course and was straight As from that point on. So now he has to offset the "low" gpa of 3.7 with a high LSAT or other ECS. He's done what with a Mphil and Dphil from Oxford. He took the LSAT last week and thought it went well. Interestingly, on the older tests he didn't break a 170. But the last test he took (newer sample test) was a 175. so we are praying. Best of luck to you.
