Many non-tenured PhD-holding professors at the university level live out of their cars without health insurance. That sort of inequity is third-world type stuff and should not exist in the USA. These adjuncts choose to get paid in "prestige" or in "hope" that the university will recognize their genius and hire them on the tenure track. Plenty of people deserve sympathy, but not these idiots who need a Ph.D. to earn less than a waitress.[/quote]
