My BMI is 27.2 and I wear a size 10. I am 10 pounds away from a BMI of 25. I am overweight but not huge. At 63yo, I can live with his.
27 was actually found to be the healthiest BMI in one study: https://www.shape.com/weight-loss/management/healthiest-bmi-actually-overweight-says-new-study I’m 48 with BMI 26.5 and I do want to lose 10-15 lbs, but I think it’s a perfectly healthy weight for women in their 50s-60s as long as all your other stats are good and you exercise. The women with very low BMIs, especially the ones who don’t get there naturally but really control their eating, start to appear fragile and unhealthy at 60.
