If my kid was being bullied or threatened or physically harmed and the school or cops weren't doing anything to protect him, I would go to the school myself. This is what happens when there are little repurcussions for bullies and no SROs at the school. It's going to get worse, frankly.
We have absolutely no proof or even indication that this was about bullying other than DCUM. What we do know is that this guy entered the school illegally, then, when detained, issued threats serious enough that the police were involved. Why would we assume that this kid is being bullied, rather than assuming that he learned bullying from someone whose first impulse to this situation is violence?
Because bullying and kids being violent to other kids is a pervasive problem in the schools. I know this- my kid used to go to another school near these schools until I pulled him out. Admin's hands are tied and the most they can do is an RJ circle- maybe a 2-day suspension. You call the cops and the cops just say they will stay out of it and let MCPS deal with discipline.
