Obviously there is a lot of space between doing nothing (which tons of middle school kids do nothing outside of school and then get off pretty early in teh day) and having every minute filled.  But you knew that.  Mine is happier and a better version of himself being busy and also needs down time and friend time, which he for sure gets.[/quote]
