OP here 2011
If you are on White, Blue, Black, Silver or Gold and can be on MYS Green, I’d consider it. Other than that not sure it is worth it unless you are trying to get away from a coach.
OP here: The above is true. We'd only consider making a move to go to MYS Green which I understand is ECNL-RL, correct? Are there spots still available?
Yes MYS Green would be their ECNL-RL team. Believe they are currently holding tryouts but would check the website as well as email the current coach.
Last tryout was Thursday and there were plenty of strong players from all the clubs trying for MYS Green. The top players from Vienna and Arlington were there. CW will be the coach moving forward with DB leaving.
Interesting. In ECNL-R girls, the 6 MYS green teams have a combined goal differential of -52, with not a single team having scored more goals than they’ve allowed this season. The boys’ ECNL-R teams have a negative 75 goal differential, but to be fair, almost all of that is from the youngest two teams (-63). Their 07s and 09s have very slightly positive GDs (+4 total). Meanwhile, Arlington girls’ ECRL has every team with positive goal differential, for +76 GD overall (+50 coming from their excellent 10s and 11s). The boys are +92, with none of their teams having negative GD. For Vienna, girls are +16, with most of that coming from the 10s and 11s. Boys are -95, with all teams having negative GD. I wouldn’t expect to see much movement, except maybe from Vienna boys to older age groups. If anything, the results would seem to indicate Arlington has recruited players away from MYS.
