I'm a pear with a small waist and a long torso. Pants sold as "high waist" hit below my belly button. I literally cannot wear low rise. (And hitting puberty in the 90s was hell because there was no diversity of styles in stores. Thankfully I can eBay old high rise pants these days.)[/quote]
