Arlington has been a kickball club for the last 15 years, they just want to win games at all costs. Besides their 2011 girls team they have the worst girls program in the area.
I don’t think this is true in the last 5 years. Both the kickball and the focus on winning at all cost. Focus on development. Your info sounds old.
DP. Arlington is straight up kick and run with no midfield. It's all about athletism. They are unable to pass under pressure and lack technical skills. Just watch the horrendous first tough. They win by running 6-7 teams deep. They picking the fastest and biggest girls. Then roll the ball out. There is little to no development. They never change formations and the players are locked in to positions at u9. Anytime they face a team that has equal athletes they lose. As they age up they move down the table.
I don't know which age group you are referring to but this is not true for the 2011. Have you seen their players? Have you actually watched their games? They blew everyone out in Jeff Cup top division! We watched their games and that was not from kick and run. They have exceptional players, the ones that caught my eyes are their CB and striker. Now I can see the point about midfielders BUT they are still pretty damn strong solid players and they are trying to move the ball. I would never say that Arlington 2011 are just good athletes who kick and run. Go watch their game to see how they play. That said, without those 2, that Arlington team will probably look a little different. Now is that a product of Arlington's development? I don't think so. I think Arlington just got lucky with the players they have. No development from Arlington there. My kid tried out for that team but didn't make it but it was good for my kid to see the level she's trying to achieve.
