Umm, density does not equal crime. Crime usually happens in locations that are more convenient -- like close to bus stations, shopping malls, metro stations -- or with active nightlife (like bars and restaurants). This is none of those things.

It's like saying that the Crate & Barrel, Wagshal's, and Starbucks in Spring Valley/AU Park will be hotbeds of crime because it's dense around those areas. Just not based in reality.[/quote]

Well, I certainly hope that proves to be the case. As I said, I look forward to shopping there. I just wouldn’t want to live there.

The Whole Foods across River Road from the Westbard development recently installed banks of very bright lights in its surface parking lot. I don’t know that it is a response to crime in the parking lot (I have never had a problem there), but it did make me think about it.[/quote]
