Bwaaaahaaaaa.....they roped most everybody into four days for three games. Definitely glad we're not doing this year. What a waste of cash and time.
It's the same as last year for our club. One game each day and games on Monday if you make the playoffs. 1/3 of the teams make the playoffs in our age bracket (8 out of 24). This is a massive tournament with squads from all over the country and a decade worth of age groups. Every court is being used at all times and I imagine it's a nightmare to schedule it. What is more striking is that this poster logged onto a schedule for a tournament they are NOT attending for the purpose of making a derogatory and gloating(?) comment on an anonymous message board. I hope they got the satisfaction they were looking for from their petty comment. And since they assume their child wouldn't make the last day, I'm happy for them they're not going. Bwaaaahaaaa, indeed.
I think the poster's point was that 40 minutes of futsal per day - be it three or four days of games - is not a good use of anyone's time. And the costs associated with it do nothing but make it less justifiable. We're going, and we regret it already.
Understood, and much more legit than posting about a tournament you're not going to. That said, sarcastically sorry it's not a good use of your time. Make sure your son or daughter knows that you think it's an unjustifiable waste and that they won't be going next year. How many games did you expect? Last year's results were up on the website right up until the schedule was posted yesterday.
Are you on the organizing committee? If so, maybe take a hint that kids can play more than one futsal in a day. You don't have to lube the local economy by spreading out the tournament over four days. And, if you're going to do that - accept less teams and make the divisions bigger so that it's worth the trip by giving the kids two games a day. It's a shitty tournament in an even shittier location.
except that other teams also have to play, and the space is maxed out. You could have fewer teams, for sure, but it seems like the demand is there, despite the whiners on this board.
