With Brave, BRYC needed help in order to survive in ECNL, so they did what they had to do.  Vienna wanted in, so they participated in the partnership.  For the league it was a no brainer since an existing club got better and more stable.  One ECNL membership charter was formally transferred from BRYC to Brave.

If this were the same then FCV would be partnering with Revolution and I think that both clubs and the league would benefit.  Instead, the GA is completely screwing FCV, and they now have two GA clubs in the same neighborhood as Loudoun ECNL.  Loudoun County has a lot of kids, but that's one GA club too many.

FCV has had a bad few months, but they have as much money or more than Revolution so it's still too early to predict who wins in the long term.  Probably not both though and not the new in improved watered down Girls Academy League.

FCV has more money?  Wonder where they're spending it then.  They're closing their reston gym which is newly opened.  And told FCV staff and families for years that they were working on building their own facility for elite soccer.[/quote]
