Everyone has the same shots at classes and dorms regardless of when you get admitted. For dorms, it's mostly luck for the lottery. You get a timeslot then you pick from what's available at your timeslot. The rooms are also not released all at once to give even the ones with the latest timeslots an equal chance at getting the best dorms. For classes, it's also luck..and then there's a period for changes, then there's add/drop when classes start. [/quote]
