I like the color on her -- with her dark skin she can pull off this shade of pale gold.  In general, I hate it when all the pale skinned women wear those washed out neutrals -- it looks so bad on them.  (I'm a pale skinned white woman, and I know not to wear pale beige!).  I love the top of the dress, but I agree that the midsection fit seems off -- I'm also not crazy about how the trimming thing widens as it goes down.[/quote]

To me the issue with the color isn't that it's unflattering in her. It's just boring. I think it would bother me more if there hadn't been so much of it on the red carpet. This is a big event, it's a chance to make a statement. This dress doesn't.[/quote]

I agree with you OP, though I'd go further and say the beige was not flattering on anyone.  Quinta probably had the best of the lot because the dress was modern and I thought she was otherwise styled well; less of the dragging draperies from Miss Havisham look the others had going.[/quote]
