So in DC criminals can be treated as “juveniles” up to the age of 24 or 25 because their brains are still developing. But vote at 14 — no problem!
+1000 double standard
There is no double-standard. The voting age in local elections has long been 16.
This is just false. Nobody under the age of 18 has ever voted in a city election in DC. It has happened in a few local municipalities. But it is vanishingly rare, and recent nationwide.
This is not false at all. What YOU claim is false, PP. why are you lying?? (MAGA maybe?).
PP here. Can you point me to something showing that anyone under the age 0f 18 has ever voted in DC? No state and less than 25 cities confined to three states allow voting under the age of 18. Listen, I am on the fence about lowering the voting age in local elections. I'm not arguing for or against it. I am disputing the inaccurate statement that "the voting age in local elections has long been 16." This is not true, at least in general elections.
Still waiting on an answer to the bolded. And I think we should be clear that NOWHERE has anyone under the age of 18 voted in federal elections.
