I don't think you are familiar with the sbject at all and stuck in the 70s. BU has been very popular to international students. NU's popularity has been rising rapidly as well.  In fact a complaint is that they allocate too many seats for international students.[/quote]

It seems the PPs/OP complaining and have inaccurate information about NU, have kids at other current commuter schools, perhaps.  Best to not let your DC know how you really feel.

NU has been popular with students across the globe since at least the 70's-80's, but OP Troll would never admit that, nor have occasion or experience to know. NU has traditionally been known for their engineering (since the 50's, if not before), and since (at least) the 80's, computer science. It has strong respect in the nerd arena, across the board. IYKYK. BU has traditionally been known for their communications major, and BC was/is more of an LAC, traditionally.

BC also likes their athletes (swim and soccer, especially - so that is promising with those who have DC athletes). Alternatively, NU has eliminated their entire football team, not so long ago.  Just adding some truths, so that parents will be better informed on this board, instead of mislead by those with a chip on their shoulder.

Awhile back BC and BU had strong hockey teams.  Is that still true?

I can’t think of anywhere else in the country where there are so many universities concentrated in such a small area.   BU, BC, NU, Wentworth, Suffolk, UMass, Emerson, MIT and Harvard along with many more smaller colleges.  Some Southern and Midwest schools are like their own little towns but a place like Boston has all kinds of people from all over.
