Let’s advocate [/quote]The main thing that has to happen is for the public to realize that the teachers union is there to advocate for teachers and not students or families, so we need to vote the opposite way the apple ballot tells us to.  I'm not anti-teacher in any way but their union makes student outcomes worse.  If you don't believe me, replace "teacher's union" with "police union" and tell me how the police union makes citizens safer.  I'm not anti-police, but their union is there to defend them at all cost which harms the public, just like the teachers union.  That's what a union does.[/quote]

Teachers working conditions are students learning conditions. If I lose my planning period because I have no one to protect my rights, your kid suffers. This board really hates teachers and then is the first to cry out when there aren't enough left in schools. We're doing our best.[/quote]OK, now do how police unions help the public.[/quote]
