I think the idea is that Trump does worse when he's up against a relative unknown.  So, we know both Biden and Trump, and that's good for Trump. The reason he beat Hillary is because we knew Hillary and she was strongly disliked. Biden is also strongly disliked, and this is all great for Trump. But, you replace Biden with someone that people have only vague familiarity with. And that's bad for Trump. People are more likely to go for the unknown.  [/quote]

People are forgetting that Trump has the other trials in spring. There is still too much uncertainty about what will happen with that and what the GOP will do in response. There is also too much worldwide uncertainty - a lot can change. There is no need for the Dems to put anyone else forward right now, just to make targets out of them for both the left and right. Wait until May/June for this idea.[/quote]
