It's funny to see how quickly the policies advocated by avowed socialists have lead us to a libertarian dystopia. Only one where we're still paying hefty taxes for a dysfunctional government. Though even then, I don't see how private security can do anything. They can tell the thieves to stop, they thieves will ignore them, and then? Physically apprehend them until the police come? You're going to risk personal injury, maybe even death, protestors will come down hard on you if the criminal gets hurt in the scuffle, and the criminals aren't even going to get prosecuted. They'll be let out and just show up again the next day. Having security that can't actually do anything to stop theft is just throwing money away paying someone to sit around doing nothing.[/quote]
