This is how as a different PP noted, you ACTUALLY help get him ready for college in 4 years. It's not to throw your hands up in defeat. It's to teach him the work it takes to prepare a meal, and to shoulder some responsibility (like "I have to get your sister from practice. you are in charge of boiling the water and cooking pasta tonight") for feeding the gamily[/quote]
