YMMV, but I am not alone in my assessment of DC and my conclusion that my discomfort with being out in DC at night makes it so planning a date night in the city isn’t worth it. I don’t begrudge those that have a different risk tolerance, but I’m not going to be gaslit into thinking DC is some shining safe utopia and I’m just paranoid. [/quote]
