Absolutely untrue in Fairfax County.  My friend (my best friend so I know what I am talking about) was hit it thousands of dollars of fines/tuition--whatever you want to call it.  She no longer lived in the jurisdiction and was required to pay for the time after she left.  The told her if she wanted to continue and finish out the school year she would would be required to pay for the remainder of the year also.[/quote]

No, above poster.  Your best friend was fined because she did not reside IN Fairfax County. County residents pay taxes that support county students attending county schools.  The post you quoted refers to lying about an address WITHIN the county.  If you live in Fairfax County and lie about your address within Fairfax County, you could be sent back to your base school-- the one in the neighborhood where you actually reside.  You will not be fined or charged a tuition. [/quote]
