[/quote] I think this can be a really lovely way to live, as long as family members have healthy boundaries and respect them (especially when kids do marry and they incorporate new people into the family -- enmeshment is really bad for marriages). But it's not what OP suggested. She wants her kids to not become educated or get jobs. She wants them to remain dependent on her forever. It is the kind of thing you think in passing when snuggling with your 4 year old and thinking about how sad it will be to send them off to school in a year, but the immediately recognize as irrational.[/quote]
