[/quote] The mood stabilizers most relied upon in treatment of bipolar are anti-convulsants that are used to treat seizures. And both are (most likely) issues that arise in the brain.[/quote] But there are also certain anticonvulsants that are NOT mood stabilizers and in fact are not recommended for people with mood disorders because it makes them worse (e.g. Keppra). On that note though, Anticonvulsants also help with migraines and motion sickness. But then again aspirin can help prevent heart issues... some meds have multiple uses but it doesn't mean the conditions are directly related.[/quote]
