They're Latino STUDENT LEADERS being honored during Hispanic/Latino heritage month. They're not just being honored for being Latino. I'm sure if they have Irish student leaders, they'd also get a shout out during their month.

Find something legitimate to worry about. This is a bad faith argument at its core. This is like if during Black History Month, Duran was honoring Black [b]Civil Rights Activists[/b] and all you heard was the black part. It's a descriptor, not a noun.[/quote]

There is a difference between honoring Black Civil Rights activists whose contributions were ignored, and by honoring Latino student leaders. How does it work exactly? How does APS determine whether a student is Latino given that it’s a cultural/ethnic category? [/quote]

Hmm so Arab heritage month is April. Are they going to honor Arab students that month? How will they know that said students are Arab? Arabs don’t check any demographic box since they are considered white. [/quote]
