I usually won’t watch stuff about women being kidnapped or tortured but I got sucked into this and did like it because I thought all the acting was excellent. I watched it in German with subtitles. It’s sort of interesting whether a kid like Hannah could turn it around …. She had a loving mother for her formative years and neither of her bio parents was a sociopath so I think it’s actually unlikely that she would actually be a sociopath. She’d need a ton of therapy obviously.
This thread got me watching the show, so thanks DCUM. It wasn't clear to me at the end if Hannah stayed loyal to the father or if she was playing along like Jasmine. It seemed to show that she was calling the shots, but genuinely wanted to go back to her "family," until the end of the last episode where she seemingly was happy with Jasmine on the beach and participating in therapy. Maybe she didn't know during the beach scene that Jasmine had killed the father? Either way, it seems like she benefitted too much from the family dynamic to fully overcome it and will end up trying to replicate that dynamic in the future.
