Would agree more of DC is safe now than 30 years ago. But that isn't to say crime isn't recently starting to take off. And in many ways we are comparing apples and oranges re 30 years ago. It's possible to "feel safer" because you have a higher threshold for safety than the population of 30 years ago. Few people in DC today were living here 30 years ago. [/quote]
