For the high school Class of ‘25, just over half the students at Walls took Geometry in 9th (and about 15% took Algebra I). For the Class of ‘26 at Deal, the school was about 40/40/20 between Math 8, Alg I, and Geometry. The Class of ‘27 seems to be even more heavily tilted away from acceleration (probably a COVID effect). There are kids behind and kids ahead but geometry in 9th is the norm. [/quote]
