[/quote] She probably is one of the oldest in her grade, but if the cutoff is say October 1, it is not be out of the ordinary for someone to be 13 but turning 14 shortly after the start of 8th grade. I’m a late November birthday and was always one of the youngest (cutoff was December 31), but under the current cutoff rules I would have had to wait a year and then would have been one of the oldest.
