Dunno. I'm gay and had never heard of this book till Amazon propped it up on Prime video. I'm sure it's the heavily hyped flavor of the week to be forgotten next week. Must admit being curious that straight people (meaning straight white women, I suppose) would want to read about a gay romance when I couldn't finish a page of a straight romance. From the trailers, the film is clearly marketed towards the young progressive white woman audience with an impeccably diverse casting and rom com cliches. I can see why those outside this demographic would find the story and its marketing contrived and forced.[/quote]
