Because you are. Because statistically, the risk presented to most women by heart disease so vastly exceeds the risk of breast cancer across the population that advising based on a false risk to the average woman is steeped in bad science and lies.

I'm the DCIS poster. I would love to take hormones but can't (I'm on tamoxifen). Hearing about all the great things HRT does was depressing to me. I am more worried about osteoporosis than breast cancer so I'm running and weight training but I wish the fact that some women just can't take HRT wasn't ignored. There are a lot of us.[/quote]

No one’s ignoring you. The outsized,  exaggerated and misrepresentation about the percentage increase in breast cancer was all that was discussed, erroneously, for more than 20 years until there was a confluence of publications in the last 8 months or so.

Lauren Streicher is a menopause specialist affiliated with Northwestern with a comprehensive meno podcast, and she’s discussed estrogen and breast cancer alone and with a BC surviving physician, who ultimately did use HRT, safely, in a certain post diagnosis window. It might be a good listen.
