I know three people named Annie and they are all actually named Anne. Annie is a nickname for Anne. It is NOT a nickname for ANY of the names that people have recommended. Annelise will be nn Elise Andrea will be nn Andy Anais sounds absolutely nothing like Annie Annabelle will be Belle or maaaaybe Anna Annaleigh is a stupid name Etc. Name your kid Anne or Annie. I don't know why you hate the name Anne, but you need to get over it, weirdo.
I know several people with longer names who go by Annie with family and close friends. Including an Annabel and an Anika. "First syllable+y sound" is maybe the most classic nickname format in the English language? I know people who don't like nicknames with that pattern and went out of their way to find names that couldn't be shortened this way to avoid it, because it's so common. So it's weird to argue that OP can't give her kid a longer name that starts with "An" and call her Annie. It sounds totally normal to me.
